Canada-based Western Financial Group (Western) has purchased Orion Insurance Brokers of Winnipeg, for an undisclosed sum, in an effort to boost its presence in Winnipeg location.
Expressing his views on the deal, Orion office manager Sheryle Lazaruk said as Transcona and eastern Winnipeg grow, so does the company, and joining Western Financial Group was a natural step in that process.
"This allows us to continue expanding our business right here in Transcona, because we can now offer Western's greater range of services and products to our customers," Lazaruk added.
Upon the completion of the transaction, the Transcona office, now under the Western Financial Group banner, will continue to operate with the same staff and location.
The acquirer said that current and future customers will benefit from Western's large scale and breadth, and its dedication to delivering value.
